The 2020 Vienna Philharmonic is one of the most traded and best known European bullion coins. Traditionally the design of the Philharmonic does not change. The only differences throughout history is its weight, face value and mintage year. The 2020 Philharmonic gold edition is no exception and will be available in 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz. The face value of the 1oz Vienna Philharmonic 2020 gold coin will be €100. Like previous year the 2020 version will have a fineness of 0.9999. The obverse of the coin shows the pipe organ in the Vienna Musikverein’s Golden HallSince and the reverse of the coin shows instruments of the Vienna Philharmonic. At the introduction of the coin more than 14 million Philharmonics have been sold for a total weight of 9.6 million ounces or approximately 329 tons of gold. The designs were produced by Thomas Pesendorfer, the engraver of the Austrian mint.
